She’s my gift. A gift I’m giving to you. In the 24 years we’ve known each other, never, before last year, have we, or have we had to, put any other person before each other. Sure, we have parents and siblings, but it’s all the same, they are no different or no more important to us than each other. But, marriage changes that. Marriage changes everything.

The world will inevitably try to tell him what it means to be a man. My job is to remind Honor that God made him; that our Lord chose to make a man who was clearly meant to be here.

Faith is believing that because you are lead by His Spirit, what you pray is what He desires. Faith is believing that because you pray God has a chance to use you to do His work. Faith is believing that God can and He will, because you had the faith to believe. 

Finales aren’t meant to answer every question, satisfy every longing, or even tie up every loose end. They are meant to bring you to where the story lead. And, if you, like I, have seen every episode of Game of Thrones, nothing about this final season, nor finale, should seem out of place - other than the coffee cup, of course.

When I came to the knowledge that I hadn’t surrendered any part of my life to the person I claimed as Savior, I was stunned. But, I’m even more overwhelmed by the fact that He’s stuck by me, kept calling me and waited for me to hold Him the way He’s held me. Yes, it is incredibly hard to have your beliefs crushed, especially if it’s seemingly overnight, after years and years of emotional buildup. But, it’s even harder to live your life so consumed with your own desires, only to realize, at the end, the purest, truest desire is to be full, and the only thing that fills is Christ. 

In the black of an almost winter morning, I woke up on my living room floor. Having to remind myself that the cause of sleep outside of our bed was back pain that only a hard floor can relieve, I simultaneously scrambled to make sure I didn’t oversleep. My body woke itself up, as if it was anticipating something. 

You’re a genius, and that’s no exaggeration of the word. I’m unsure if it’s the dictionary reading, the crossword puzzles or the 100 games of solitaire per day, but whatever it is, it’s real. You are intelligent, masterfully articulate, uncommonly decisive and shamelessly authentic.

And you’re mad at yourself for living up to societies expectations that you have to build a man, when some men do already come built, you’re just not willing to wait, patiently.

Unless a man is permanently friendzoned and perfectly okay with that, it is a rare occurrence that a man introduces a woman to another man.
