FAQs
Common questions about the Easy Strategy Method, working together, and how organizations get their story back in order.
ABOUT The Work
-
The Easy Strategy Method: a four-part system built to meet you wherever you are. It starts with a free Easy Diagnostic, then moves into Easy Discovery (a six-week communications audit), Easy Design (a full messaging and brand system build, 3-5 months), and Easy Deploy (ongoing strategic partnership, minimum six months). You don't have to start at the beginning; some organizations need a full rebuild, others just need someone to run point on what's already there.
-
Yes. Nonprofits, foundations, faith-based organizations, and educational institutions make up a large part of the organizations I work with. If your work is strong but your story isn't landing the way it should, that's exactly the gap this method exists to close.
-
Yes. Growth-stage founders and teams that have outgrown their own messaging are a core part of who this is built for, especially organizations where the brand has stopped keeping pace with what the company's actually become.
-
A designer builds what's visible: logos, colors, layouts. I build the story underneath all of it; the strategy, the messaging, the structure that makes sure everything someone sees or hears about your organization is telling the same truth. When a project needs visual execution, I work alongside trusted partners and guide the strategic direction throughout the process.
Process & Timeline
-
Take the Easy Diagnostic. It's eleven questions, about two minutes, and it tells you exactly which pattern is showing up in your organization's communications right now. From there, you'll know whether Easy Discovery, Easy Design, or Easy Deploy is the right next step.
-
Easy Diagnostic: about two minutes.
Easy Discovery: six weeks, start to debrief.
Easy Design: three to five months, depending on scope.
Easy Deploy: an ongoing partnership with a six-month minimum commitment. -
Most work happens virtually. For organizations in the New York area, in-person sessions are available, and travel can be arranged for the right engagement.
-
Up to nine touchpoints get reviewed the way an outside visitor would experience them; your website, pitch materials, proposals, internal messaging. The result is a written report and a live debrief call naming exactly where the story is breaking down and what to do next.
-
Yes. Easy Design specifically brings your own team into the build through stakeholder interviews, so the system gets shaped by the people who'll actually be using it, not handed to them cold. I also collaborate directly with your designers, developers, and other partners as needed.
-
That's what Easy Deploy is built for. Once a system exists, whether through Easy Design or through Deploy's own built-in first two months, this is the ongoing partnership that keeps it running and evolving instead of quietly drifting out of alignment.
Investment & Payment
-
Easy Diagnostic is free. Easy Discovery is a fixed $3,000. Easy Design runs $15,000 to $20,000, depending on scope. Easy Deploy is $2,000 to $3,000 per month, with a six-month minimum.
-
For Easy Design specifically, milestone-based payment structures are available, aligned to the project's phases.
EXPERTISE & EXPERIENCE
-
Most consultants take a brief and execute it. I diagnose before I build. I ask the questions that are easy to avoid, and I challenge the brief itself to make sure we're solving the actual problem, not just the one that was handed to me. I'm also a strategist and a writer, so I don't just tell an organization what to say; I can write it myself, whether that's a messaging framework, website copy, or a crisis statement.
-
Clients have secured over $8.5M in funding, tripled their pipeline through a messaging overhaul, reactivated stalled boards, and been featured in the New York Times, Forbes, Essence, and CBS. Take the Easy Diagnostic, and we'll know quickly whether this experience lines up with what your organization needs.
-
A Master's in Strategic and Organizational Communications from Northeastern University, half a decade working Fortune 100 accounts, including Google, at Codeword Agency, and ten years running Dominique Brienne, LLC. I've also served as Director of Communications inside an organization myself, which means this isn't advice from the outside looking in.
Specific Situations
-
Yes. A campaign is often the moment that exposes just how unfinished the underlying story really is. Easy Discovery or Easy Design builds the narrative foundation that makes funders say yes.
-
Fast. High-stakes moments, leadership transitions, sudden press attention, existential threats to an organization, can move within days when the situation calls for it. Take the Easy Diagnostic or reach out directly, and we'll determine the right pace immediately.
-
This is exactly what Easy Design's stakeholder interviews solve. The team helps build the system together, so everyone leaves able to describe the organization the same way, not because they memorized a script, but because they were part of building the actual story.
-
Yes. A leadership change is one of the clearest moments where an old story stops fitting and nobody's rebuilt it yet. This work helps an organization communicate the shift in a way that keeps trust and momentum intact instead of losing both mid-transition.
-
That's usually a story problem wearing a design costume. Easy Discovery finds where visitors are getting lost or losing interest; Easy Design rebuilds the narrative underneath the site so it actually turns visitors into donors, clients, or supporters.
Working Together
-
Take the Easy Diagnostic. It exists for exactly this; discovering the real pattern first so the right next step becomes obvious instead of a guess.
-
Yes, when appropriate. Confidentiality requirements can be discussed as part of Easy Discovery or Easy Design, before any work begins.
