IKIGAI: love is not enough
IKIGAI is a lovely Japanese word that I've fallen for. But you don't care about ikigai yet, you care about love. We all care about love. We are really going to talk about love here. We are really going to get into how you do not need love to create and sustain a prosperous and fulfilling life. We are going to talk about how love is not enough to maintain a healthy relationship. We are going to talk about how we overuse this small word but never discuss what it means, by definition, in our language and for our culture. IKIGAI is about the English, American definition for the word love, a word we use more than constantly and the definition sucks. I know, I know...I sound bitter, or hurt or angry. I am not. I am one of the happiest people I know. Why? Because, I have learned that love isn't even fathomable, realistic or enough. In your study of love you will find it comes up short. Are you ready?
